Festivity of the Mother Earth

The month of August is a special month, where a thank you is given to the Pachamama "FIESTA A LA MADRE TIERRA" is celebrated every first week of the month of August. The city of Cusco pays a beautiful celebration to Mother Earth, as thanks to the blessings given to her crops, which serve as food for their families throughout the year

This tradition comes from pre-Hispanic times, the Inca people considered it the protective deity of the Inca. This celebration is an act of reciprocity and praise of nature, as we know these great men had a great respect for nature that considered them Apus to the mountains, Pachamama to Mother Earth and the Inti to the sun that were their main deities
